You are the image of God, and even made in His likeness. In fact, the word in the Hebrew language used for “likeness” is Demuth, meaning like as; Genesis 1:26. What in the world am I talking about? How can you be the image and likeness of God? Because you have been reconciled back unto Christ. That is how!
20 And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in Heaven.
21 And you, that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled
22 In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight:
That is one of the most amazing passages in the Bible! When Jesus died on the cross, He reconciled you back unto Himself and the result was that in HIS, Jesus, sight you are unblameable (meaning faultless, unblemished) and unreproveable (meaning un-accused). Did you catch that? When Jesus died on the cross His blood made peace between our sin and God.
Let’s take a deeper look into what that really means. I think we fail to realize that the fact that the blood of Jesus washes away our sins really means washes, erases, like it never happened, all our mistakes and sins gone. He made peace between the judgement sin pronounced on our lives, and the demand of justice.
Our past loves to remind us of our faults, and for some those past faults have become a tremendous source of heartache and pain. Is that pain what God wants for your life, or has the pain of our past become a source of bondage in our lives? Jesus reconciled us back unto God. He settled our debt. He became the payment for our transgressions. Now He presents you as unblameable, faultless and unblemished. When the voices begin to speak from your past, and the images of those painful events scroll across your minds eye remind yourself how Jesus sees you holy, unblameable and unreproveable in His sight!
Our past as tends to leave scars or evidence of those past wrong doings. The best part of all of this is He presents you unreproveable. Satan and his demons love to remind us of our past deeds and use that reminder to condemn us. He reminds us how bad we are, and then tells us because we are flawed God does not accept us. The law of God is clear that if you do bad things you will be judged right? Well… tell every voice that would speak those kinds of words into your life that “Jesus presented me as unreproveable in His sight”! That means that God does not accuse you of those past actions because the blood of Jesus erased it!
Jesus reconciled you back unto God. Now there is peace instead of conflict. Now instead of sickness you can be healed. I love to be blessed instead of poor. I am living life more abundantly like Jesus declared I should. You should as well it is your right as God’s child!
